Message From Kansanga Parish Development Committee
We thank God for the blessings and Graces which have enabled us to serve Him as a Parish for now 23 years. I congratulate all the parishioners of Kansanga Parish upon the 23 years celebration. I thank all the priests, Religious, Catechists, the Parish Executive, the members of the Parish Council, the sub parishes, the Children, the Basic Christian Communities, the Development Committee and the Development forum for the 23 years of service. I thank you for the great work of the church refurbishment and servicing the loan we got from Centenary Bank to buy the land which is opposite the main gate to the parish. In Hope, Let us continue to journey together to complete these tasks. May God bless us.
In 2027 we shall be celebrating 25 years; we pray that the Silver Jubilee finds the church refurbishment completed. I appeal to you to continue buying the Certificates from which and other sources we are to get the money to complete the church refurbishment. I also thank you for today’s Makungula (Harvest) which is to help us complete the debt on the compound solar lights, to fix razor wires on the church perimeter wall and also to fix iron bars in the main hall windows.
I thank Rev. Fr. Dr. Ronald Kigozi and Rev. Fr. Aloysious Ngobya Ssemakula for leading us in today’s Eucharistic Celebration. I thank Fr. Ronald Kigozi for the great work he has done among us for the four years he has been here. I congratulate Fr. Aloysious Ngobya upon his ordination to the Priesthood, I also thank him for the work he did here for a full year as a Deacon. I assure both of you my prayers and blessings.
I wish all the Parishioners, peaceful celebrations, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2026.
ABOUT THE PARISH:
• History: Kansanga Parish was inaugurated on 2nd December 2002 by then the Auxiliary Bishop of Kampala Archdiocese,
The Rt. Reverend Christopher Kakooza. It was made of two Sub-Parishes of Kkonge-Lukuli and Kansanga which were carved off Nsambya Parish.
The parish Church had been under construction by the Christians of Kansanga Sup-Parish since 1975.
• Patron: Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
• Parish Priests: Fr. Joseph Mary Bbuye, Fr. Archilles Mayanja Ssali and Fr. Blaise Zzimbe Ssebizibu.
• Vision: A global community knowledgeable and transformed by the word of God in all spheres of life.
• Mission: To preach God’s word (or kingdom) to the entire world.
• Sub-Parishes: Our Lady of Fatima, Seat of Wisdom, St. Mugaga, St. John the Baptist, St. Adolf Ludigo and St. Paul Mobile Sub Parish.
